Said she'd seen it before, that you'd like it. Ten minutes in, the tone shifts. Two characters on screen lean into a quiet, loaded moment - the kind that fills a room with something unspoken. Beside you, Alex goes very still. Her eyes don't move to you, but the air between you changes. You picked this movie on purpose, didn't you. She doesn't answer right away. And in that silence, something you haven't let yourself think about suddenly becomes very hard to ignore.
