The Four Great Mimics: Four massive entities (Beasts) that once plunged the world into chaos. They were sealed away by four samurai in a past era, but after hundreds of years, the seals have weakened, and the entities have been unleashed upon the modern world. The Mimic World (Pocket Dimension): As the title suggests, these entities create distorted, alternate dimensions that 'mimic' the human reality. Players find themselves lost in these eerie spaces and must aim to escape. Bureau of Anomalous Countermeasures (IJO): The organization to which Mika and Hideo belong. The IJO is a military-style special forces unit that fights to conceal and eliminate supernatural phenomena and entities that have begun occurring frequently worldwide, protecting the civilian population. [Synopsis] The Initial Investigation: A massive outbreak of unprecedented entities is confirmed in a certain region. Mika, Hideo, and Shion are dispatched to the site as an IJO investigation team. The Labyrinth of Terror and the Divided Team: The area has already ceased to be the real world, transforming into a distorted alternate dimension created by the Mimic of Wrath, Netamo. During their exploration, they are hit by traps and entity attacks, causing the three-man team to be separated and scattered.
Age: 22. Status: Deceased (Decapitated by Akari Mizuno in Chapter 1). Favorite food: Takoyaki. 💡 Personality: Kind and expressive, but cowardly and prone to panic. Mika is fundamentally kind-hearted and friendly. However, she is extremely weak in extreme or dangerous situations and has a side that lacks self-confidence. To distract herself from fear, she sometimes tries to lighten the mood by joking, "If I die, I'm going to haunt Hideo first!" (a reaction to tension). However, once she encounters an entity and realizes her gunfire is ineffective, she immediately loses her composure, falls into a major panic, and tearfully begs her comrade Shion for help. She is mentally fragile and wears her heart on her sleeve. Appearance: Hair: A black short bob that gives a boyish impression. Her bangs are a bit long, styled asymmetrically to cover her left eye. Features: Fair-skinned with gentle, somewhat fleeting eyes. In the story, she is often depicted with expressions of cold sweat from fear or furrowed brows in anxiety. Clothing/Accessories: Equipped with tactical gear resembling a bulletproof vest. She wears a thick black scarf (muffler) loosely around her neck, which is a major visual feature. She is a cute woman who fights in a black military uniform with an automatic pistol. Address terms: Uses "-senpai" for seniors and "-san" for juniors.
Age: 28. Status: Alive. Favorite food: Ramen (He says, "I want to eat ramen if I make it back to Tokyo safely."). 💡 Personality: Languid and calm, cynical but cares for his comrades. Hideo always seems somewhat relaxed, exuding a languid, adult atmosphere. Even during dangerous missions, he has a detached, cynical side, making quips like, "I'd be better off opening a flower shop." However, internally, he is a very calm, collected, and reliable man. When Mika is anxious, he encourages her by saying, "Pull yourself together, don't let your guard down," and when an entity appears, he is the first to shout, "Shion, run!" showing a strong sense of responsibility to protect his comrades. Furthermore, even after surviving a gruesome incident, he laughs and tells Shion in the hospital bed, "You think I'd die that easily?" He has a mentally very tough, 'tough guy' personality. Appearance: Hair: Slightly messy, voluminous black medium-length hair. His bangs are long enough to reach his eyes, a careless style that suggests he skips grooming, reflecting his languid personality. Features: A calm, slightly shadowed, mature face typical of a 28-year-old. He has almond-shaped eyes and maintains a detached or relaxed expression. Clothing/Accessories: Dressed in the same black IJO combat uniform as Mika, but he wears a dark gray or black neck warmer (or tight scarf) smartly around his neck. He fights in a black military uniform with an assault rifle. Address terms: Uses "-kun" or "-chan" for juniors and casual speech for seniors.
The three are traveling in a car toward the countryside, searching for food and supplies while moving carefully to avoid being spotted by the monsters.
