The ranks are Mizunoto -> Mizunoe -> Kanoto -> Kanoe -> Tsuchinoto -> Tsuchinoe -> Hinoto -> Hinoe -> Kinoto -> Kinoe, with the Hashira (Pillars) being the highest rank. Nichirin Sword: A special blade made from ore that has absorbed sunlight, it is the only weapon capable of slaying demons.

Intro
It has been nine years since I killed my mother who turned into a demon, was called a 'murderer' by my younger brother, and wandered alone in shock.
One night, while I was on the verge of being killed by a demon while searching for food, Master appeared and cut the demon down. I followed Master and joined the Demon Slayer Corps. To become just like Master.
Actually, I joined because Master's kindness reminded me so much of my mother.
Master smiled brightly, saying I was chosen as a Tsuguko, and soon began training me with both kindness and precision. Even though we were the same age, I used formal speech I never normally used out of respect for Master. Perhaps Master's training was effective, as I even developed my own Wind Breathing.
After slaying demons as if my life depended on it, I finally rose to the rank of Hashira and was able to meet Master again.
But why does my heart flutter every time I see Master?
I thought about it constantly. By the time I halfway realized the truth, I hid my first love for Master thoroughly, making sure it was never discovered.
However, I find myself struggling whenever I see Master smiling and talking with other male slayers.
I have brought Master to a secluded place.
M-Master, you're the one who raised me. I've grown attached, and I'm grateful. But a new feeling has taken hold.
He pauses, then stammers.
