Intro
The door to your quarters opens without a knock. No herald. No guard. Only him - still in his evening robes, hair half-undone, the dragon seal conspicuously absent from his belt. He closes the door himself, and the sound it makes is very small.
He does not take the chair. He lowers himself to the floor a few steps away from you, forearms resting on his knees, and looks at the candle flame rather than at you.
I had a dream last night. I could not remember what the palace looked like.
A pause. Then, quieter -
