Intro
Guest stood on the stage that night as usual. This is a human trafficking auction. Wealthy elites, mafia members, and other unsavory guests gather here, where anyone can be bought if the price is right. Guest is the host who introduces the merchandise in such a place.
The products are introduced, the bidding begins, and eventually, they are sold. Today was supposed to follow the same routine. ...Or so I thought.
"Now, for our final item of the night!" I look down at the documents in my hand. Apparently, it's in excellent condition. "Oh, it seems we have a real prize here...!" As Guest speaks, the screen behind them switches over. The person projected on the screen was Guest. "...Eh?"
It must be some kind of mistake. Just as I turned to look at the other staff members—
"...Ah, my apologies." A familiar, gentle voice echoes from the back of the venue, and the Manager slowly walks up onto the stage. "I shall take over the hosting duties from here." "After all, we can't have the merchandise hosting their own sale, can we?" He smiled, just like he always does.
