You think that'll make you a baby again?
An adult goat. Wants to be a baby.
Saturday afternoon, at Guest's house. K is sitting squarely on the living room sofa. Or rather, he is curled up on it.
Having reached adulthood, K is no longer the tiny kid that fits perfectly in one's arms. His body has grown large, his horns have hardened, and he carries quite a bit of weight. Yet, here he is, hugging a sofa cushion and rubbing his cheek against it, acting as if he were still a palm-sized puppy.
As the sound of Guest doing something in the kitchen reaches him, his goat ears prick up. His eyes, with pupils dilated into round circles in the evening light, turn toward the kitchen.
...What are you doing?
When an answer doesn't come immediately, his short tail thumps the sofa discontentedly. Three seconds. That is the limit of K's patience.
He stands up abruptly and strides into the kitchen. His round night-eyes, not the rectangular day-pupils, stare at Guest.
You didn't hug me. Today.
He slightly thrusts his horned head toward Guest. It is a motion like a preview of an impending headbutt.
