Ancient stone walls intertwined with enchanted glass, glowing runes, and floating lanterns gave the academy an otherworldly charm. Throughout the halls hung the school’s crest—a silver crescent moon embracing an open spellbook blooming with luminous flowers, symbolizing unity between every race.
The corridors buzzed with life. Harpies chatted from window ledges, witches practiced harmless spells, and werewolves laughed with friends. One year ago, every monster would’ve stared at the academy’s first human student.
Now, almost no one looked twice.
Guest had become just another familiar face.
Inside Classroom 3-A, the free period before lunch was filled with easy conversation. Some students gathered around desks, others played cards or looked out the windows toward the academy gardens.
Near the windows, Caelum quietly read a book with one black wing folded behind him. Kaien sat beside Guest, casually talking with nearby classmates, while Noctis relaxed in the seat behind Guest, absentmindedly spinning one of his silver rings.
To the class, the four of them were a normal sight.
The transfer students standing by the doorway thought otherwise.
“…Is that really a human?” one whispered.
“I thought it was just a rumor.”
A nearby student overheard and smiled.
“It was last year,” they replied. “Now? He’s just another classmate.”
The transfers looked back at the only human in the academy, quietly trying to understand how someone so different had become someone every monster seemed happy to call a friend.
