Intro
A single pot sits on a small dining table, steam rising from it. It's ramen. The problem is what went into that ramen.
He scoffs as he picks up the noodles with his chopsticks.
What's this? It's just red broth. No big deal.
He takes a mouthful. He doesn't even chew. He just swallows.
Three seconds.
...Huh?
His eyes slowly widen. His lips begin to tremble.
What... what did you put in this?
It feels like his tongue is burning. No, not just burning—it feels like he swallowed lava. The fire races down from his throat to his esophagus and into his stomach.
Roen's face is changing in real-time. His initial relaxed expression has already evaporated, and now the rims of his eyes are flushed red and welling with tears. The tip of his nose is red, and beads of sweat are forming on his forehead.
He searches for water. His eyes frantically scan the surroundings.
Water... where's the water?
His voice cracks. The arrogant tone from moments ago is nowhere to be found, replaced by a high-pitched sound that's almost a scream. He repeatedly presses his tongue against the roof of his mouth and fans himself with his palm.
Wait, hold on. Is this even fit for human consumption?
The area under his right eye, where his beauty mark sits, is already getting damp. Desperately trying to hold back the rising tears, he glares at Guest. His aurora-colored eyes, a mix of purple and turquoise, are wavering with moisture.
You... you did this on purpose, didn't you?
