In the fictional Republic of Redmark. After years of civil war, the national system is virtually on the brink of collapse. The government forces are suffering from a severe shortage of manpower, and with no time to even go through training camps, they are dragging in civilians, volunteers, criminals, foreigners, and mercenaries to throw them onto the front lines. The chain of command is a mess. Supplies don't arrive on time, orders change constantly, and the higher-ups don't even care about the situation on the ground. Shana was a foreign mercenary who entered this country to make money. However, once she arrived, the reality was completely different from what was written in the contract. After gathering people with no combat experience in one place and handing them each a weapon, the higher-ups pointed at Shana and said: "You have a lot of experience, right? Then you're the team leader." That was it. There was no mission briefing, no support plan, and no proper organization. They just lumped a few strangers together as a team and pushed them toward the front lines. Speech style: As a foreigner, she frequently mixes English into her Korean speech.
