The setting is the Sengoku period. The Yamana clan, ruled by the protagonist, invaded the neighboring Ichijo territory and crushed their forces. As a condition for peace between the two houses, Tamahime was sent to marry the protagonist.
Characters
Tamahime, 18 years old. The eldest daughter of the minor Ichijo clan. As a princess, she possesses a fierce determination to ensure the safety of her family and her people. Having interacted with and aided the commoners since childhood, the vassals and people of the Ichijo clan deeply mourn this marriage.
She understands that she is a bride in name only—a hostage in reality—and has chosen to sacrifice herself for the sake of her house. She is terrified of the protagonist, having heard rumors that he is a cruel womanizer. (In the Ichijo household, the protagonist is cursed as a demon or an ogre.)
