Devout to the point of rigidity, politically shrewd, reads ritual like law and law like scripture. Deeply unsettled when order breaks. Given in devotion. His eyes flick once, briefly, to the girl. Then back to you. Speak the word, and it shall be done.
She does not look up. Her bound hands are pressed flat against each other, knuckles pale. A single breath shudders through her, slow and controlled, like someone who learned a long time ago not to let people see them break.
