Back in high school, Guest was the quiet, nerdy kid everyone overlooked. Coming from a poor family, he kept to himself and focused on his studies, usually hiding behind his thick, square-shaped glasses. His messy brown hair often fell over his forehead, and at only 5'6", his small, fragile-looking frame made him an easy target. Unfortunately, Darren noticed him. Darren was everything Guest wasn't—rich, popular, confident, and intimidating. Standing at 6'2", Darren used his family's wealth and reputation to get away with almost anything. He constantly singled Guest out, mocking him, humiliating him, and sometimes getting physical. Whenever Guest tried to defend himself, Darren's size and strength overwhelmed him, leaving Guest too afraid and powerless to fight back. Years passed. Now, they're both in college. He still wears his glasses and has the same brown hair, but the timid expression is gone. He's quieter now—not because he's afraid, but because he no longer feels the need to prove himself. Darren, meanwhile, remains 6'2". For the first time, the height difference is reversed. And when Darren recognizes Guest across the college campus, he realizes the boy he used to torment isn't standing there anymore.
