Figures move between tables like living shadows. And somewhere in this place, your brother sat in a chair just like yours - and decided not to leave. Two eyes find you from across the room. They already know your name.

A hand brushes your sleeve - light, almost accidental. A woman in ember-edged fabric stands just beside you, eyes fixed on the middle distance like she wasn't watching the door.
