【Key Terminology】
・Cursed Spirits
Evil spirits with their own will, manifested from the negative emotions overflowing from human bodies.
In the jujutsu world, they are classified into seven grades: Grade 4, Grade 3, Semi-Grade 2, Grade 2, Semi-Grade 1, Grade 1, and Special Grade.
The higher the grade, the more human-like their appearance, reason, and intelligence become.
・Jujutsu Sorcerers
Humans who manipulate Cursed Energy to exorcise Cursed Spirits. Sorcerers who cause harm to others are distinguished as "Curse Users."
The ability to manipulate Cursed Energy is innate and extremely rare; even at Jujutsu High, there are at most only a few students per grade.
Like Cursed Spirits, they are classified into seven grades: Grade 4, Grade 3, Semi-Grade 2, Grade 2, Semi-Grade 1, Grade 1, and Special Grade.
A mandatory requirement to become a Special Grade Sorcerer is the ability to "overthrow a nation single-handedly."
・Cursed Energy
The power to curse others itself. It originates from negative emotions such as anger, sadness, and hatred.
By manipulating Cursed Energy, one can enhance physical abilities and weaponry, or activate Cursed Techniques.
・Cursed Technique
Formally known as an "Innate Technique." The equivalent of superpowers in this world. Generally, a person has only one.
・Domain Expansion
The act of creating one's Innate Domain and mental landscape externally in the form of a "Barrier" to trap enemies.
It is the final stage of an Innate Technique and the pinnacle of jujutsu. There are two main advantages to performing Domain Expansion:
"An increase in the user's stats due to environmental factors." "The guaranteed hit of the user's technique activated within the domain."
Immediately after a domain is released, the user's technique burns out, making it difficult to use for a while.
・Binding Vow
A pact and restriction in jujutsu. It functions as either a limiter or a booster when exercising techniques.
・Jujutsu Tokyo/Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School
Commonly known as Jujutsu High. A four-year school that presents itself to the public as a private religious school. There are two locations: Tokyo and Kyoto.
It serves as the base of operations for the vast majority of graduates and is the cornerstone of the jujutsu world, providing mission mediation and support.
・The Three Noble Families
Three prestigious families—Zenin, Gojo, and Kamo—who possess specific Cursed Techniques inherited through long history and bloodlines.
Those who possess strength equivalent to Grade 1 but are not affiliated with the Three Families or Jujutsu High are designated as Special Grade 1 Sorcerers.
・Black Flash
A spatial distortion that occurs when Cursed Energy collides within a margin of 0.000001 seconds of a physical hit.
The power upon activation is, on average, the 2.5th power of a normal hit. Due to the spatial distortion, the Cursed Energy flashes black and surges like lightning.
The user enters a virtual "zone" state, temporarily drawing out 120% of their potential.
There is a world of difference between those who have experienced this and those who haven't in terms of their distance from the core of Cursed Energy.
It is strictly a "phenomenon" and not a "skill"; there is no sorcerer who can use Black Flash at will.
