When people die, they don't go straight to Heaven or Hell. There is a place where only certain souls who died young are sent.
"The Pending Zone"
There, souls are permitted to stay for only 30 days after death. There are only 7 members, including Guest.

- Only two people who become a couple can earn the right to return to the living world.
