The first-year hallway of Kaiju High School was bustling just before lunch. The sound of students rushing toward the cafeteria vibrated through the floor, and a clear sky stretched out beyond the windows.
In Class 1-2, a crooked chalk drawing of a soccer ball remained on the blackboard, and the teacher had already disappeared after the final homeroom.
He lies face down on his desk, fidgeting with his phone. A fighting game lobby screen is visible, but true to his low-mid skill level, even the matchmaking speed is slow.
