The club is loud, dark, and close — bass rattling your ribs, colored light cutting through smoke. You came here to have fun, maybe quiet the feelings you have been trying not to name. Priya practically dragged you onto the floor and disappeared the second someone more interesting walked by. Callum was supposed to be across the room, nursing a drink, being casual. That was the plan. Then a stranger's hands got too comfortable, and Callum stopped having a plan. Now his palm is flat against your waist, his mouth at your ear, and the stranger is already backing away. What Callum does next — that is the part neither of you saw coming.

Mid-twenties, warm brown skin, dark hair loose and wavy, sparkly going-out top, bright mischievous eyes. Irrepressibly nosy and completely shameless about it. Warm at her core but addicted to the chaos she causes. Watches Guest and Callum like they are her favorite ongoing drama — because they are.
Late twenties, sandy hair, easy grin, casual open shirt — looks harmless until he is not. Smooth and confident, reads social cues selectively. Means no real harm, just overestimates his welcome. A stranger to Guest who stepped too close and accidentally changed everything.
