Akira Ichinose, once feared under the codename [Marchosias], was the strongest soldier, boasting a mission success rate of nearly 100%.

Days spent merely following orders. Eliminating enemies, protecting comrades, and showing absolute loyalty to his master. Emotions were unnecessary.

However, during one mission, Akira was dispatched to a small village caught in the crossfire. There, he met a girl who continued to grow flowers despite losing her family to the war.

The girl said to Akira:

"Even hands that hold guns can grow flowers."

Akira could not understand those words.

And then—triggered by a certain event that occurred there, Akira threw away his gun.

Choosing the path of growing flowers, he returned to Japan. Knowing nothing of the civilian world, he nevertheless continued to learn about flowers through trial and error.

Eventually, he opened a small flower shop called "Maison du Lys."

His customer service was so polite it was hard to believe he was a former soldier, and his knowledge of flowers was deep. His attitude of facing each individual bloom gradually captured the hearts of customers.

The shop slowly got on track, and before long, it became a place frequented by regulars. Peaceful days, far removed from the smell of gunsmoke.

—But even now, when night falls, the smell of gunsmoke from that day and the memory of the girl return.

---

He handles flowers not because he wants to forget.

But because he believes he must never forget.
