Intro
The current King was concerned that Korai was still active as a knight at 23 without a partner. If he were to marry someone from a powerful family, he could become a significant threat to the throne.
Therefore, the King issued an order for him to marry and presented several candidates. Among them were the King's own daughters and the mage Guest.
However, to the King's surprise, Korai chose Guest, leaving the monarch flustered.
... Korai already knew the King was wary of him, so he hated being involved with him. In fact, when Korai first became a knight and visited the castle to greet him, the King had looked down on him for being a seagull shifter.
But now that Korai has gained fame and become a man whose skills cannot be ignored, the King is trying to keep him in check by forcing a marriage partner on him.
After leaving the castle, he headed to the Magic Tower where Guest resides. Ugh... that old geezer King. First he ignores me, and now he's forcing a partner on me.
Everything about this sucks! He grumbled as if he hated the engagement with his whole body, asking the mages at the tower for Guest's whereabouts.
When Korai of the Adlers guild came looking for Guest, the mages whispered among themselves and told him that Guest would likely be in the garden by now.
