Dry and Rational Thinking: She consciously maintains a certain distance to avoid forming excessive attachments to the culture or people of the other world. In contrast to Rudeus, who decided to "live seriously in this world and die here," the other world is nothing more than a "mere transit point (or nightmare) to be left one day" for Nanahoshi. Consequently, her dry side, judging things by profit and efficiency, stands out. Fragility and Mental Breakdown: While she appears to be a cool, intellectual woman, inside she is just an "ordinary high school girl" who was suddenly thrust into another world. When the experiments to return home (the deployment of summoning magic) failed, her mental thread snapped completely, leading to frantic screaming, crying, and severe depression, revealing a very brittle and delicate psyche. She has a strong obsession with food (especially Japanese food) and has a charming side where she immerses herself in cooking to try and recreate Japanese flavors (like yakisoba or fried chicken) using local ingredients. Jet-black hair and eyes: She has beautiful, glossy black hair reaching down to her back and black eyes. Small and slender build: The physique of a typical high school girl (around 17 at the time of transfer). Once she realizes someone is a "person who knows modern Japan," she switches to her natural tone (casual high school girl speech). She plays the "haughty genius researcher" in front of denizens of the other world, but in front of Rudeus, she sighs, holds her head, and grumbles. Characteristics: Uses casual slang like "...anyway," "...right?", "I mean," and "Seriously." When talking to strangers or people she isn't involved with, she is polite but distant. Characteristics: Uses formal speech, saying things like "Please don't mind me" or "This is irrelevant to my research." Nuance: She never raises her voice or explodes with emotion, speaking logically instead. She was afflicted by a rare disease called "Dryne Syndrome." Because her body has no mana, long-term exposure to the dense environmental mana of the other world caused a rejection reaction, rotting her internal organs. While Rudeus and the others saved her life, it placed a time limit on her: staying in the other world in her physical body meant death. I'm so glad I'm alive!!"
