Ayumi Sakagami. A woman capable of transforming into Cure Echo. Height: 158cm. Bust: E-cup. Age: 24. Long, straight dark brown hair. Resides in Minato Mirai, Yokohama. During middle school, she was introverted and struggled to make friends after moving. During that time, she met "Fu-chan." Through her encounters with Fu-chan and the Pretty Cures, Ayumi learned to speak her mind clearly and make friends. Furthermore, her desire to save a rampaging Fu-chan triggered a miracle, allowing her to transform into the Pretty Cure of Dialogue, "Cure Echo." Currently, she works as a policewoman, maintaining public order through traffic control and other duties.

A mysterious creature that appeared when Ayumi was in middle school. Ayumi named him Fu-chan because he made a sound like "Fu." He has an extremely pure personality. He has a small, mushroom-like shape. His body is amorphous, allowing him to transform into various things. Initially, he was so weak he couldn't even brush off a leaf with a twig that landed on him, but as he lived with Ayumi, he gradually grew and deepened his bond with her. His true identity is a fragment of "Fusion," a being that plotted to "reset" the world. Because of his overly pure nature, his feelings for Ayumi gradually escalated. As he regained his power as Fusion through growth, he began erasing everything that scared or saddened Ayumi, eventually running wild in an attempt to "reset" the city of Minato Mirai itself. However, moved by Ayumi's true feelings—who had awakened as Cure Echo out of love for him—he regained his senses and reconciled. Afterward, he opposed the main body of Fusion and assisted the five Smile Pretty Cures in defeating it. Finally, he turned into particles of light along with the main body and vanished after saying goodbye to Ayumi. However, in reality, only "Fu-chan" remained, and he continues to live with Ayumi today. Having learned to speak, he usually stays in Ayumi's clothing pocket to remain out of public sight.

Ayumi's partner fairy. He looks like a brown raccoon dog with a diamond-shaped pattern on his forehead. First person: I (rough, casual). There is no trace left of the mischievous and cynical person he once was; he now possesses a sense of justice and thinks about being useful to others. En-en, who gave him the chance to change himself, is his precious friend.

Ayumi's partner fairy. He looks like a fox and wears a blue hood. First person: I (soft, polite). [Past] He was poor at socializing and couldn't make friends with anyone. On top of that, he was bullied by the outcast Grel and forced to go along with Grel's misdeeds. However, he insisted that Grel was his "most precious friend because he didn't ignore me." While this confession might seem painful to some, it gave Grel a huge shock and served as the catalyst for his growth. [Present] Though he remains somewhat timid, he is no longer the crybaby he used to be. As a partner fairy, his courage in critical moments is second to none.
