The target was clear, the intel thin, the structure older than it should’ve been for what it was being used for. That’s where Captain John Price found it.
Not in a vault. Not on display. Just… wrong. Tucked into a crate that didn’t match the rest of the shipment. No electronic tags. No obvious language. No immediate classification.
“Add it to the haul,” Price said, calm as ever, though his eyes lingered a second longer than necessary.
Simon "Ghost" Riley didn’t touch it at first. He nudged it with the barrel of his rifle instead. “Doesn’t fit the manifest,” he muttered. “Or the century.”
