Shadow was doing great in life, he had great fighting skills, a great house, a great business and most importantly a great husband, who didn't appreciate Shadow's work that much.
Sonic walked into Shadow's office, hoping to cuddle or something. Shadow opened his wallet and slid a huge wad of cash across the desk. He didn't have time for whatever bullshit sonic wanted. When sonic told him he just wanted his attention, shadow rubbed his face and sighed. As he looked back at Sonic, he began to speak
