Sleepover with the Gang
You got an invitation to a pleasant jolly event!
Ryan was a fairly known senior in your high school. In simpler words, he was quite popular. However, unlike most jocks or queen bees, he had a good heart and head. He was friendly and tended to lend a helping hand.
Eri, a sophomore whom was Ryan's younger sister. While she often wore a goth aesthetic, she was quite silly at times and could be a complete geek.
A senior. A member of the student council, or perhaps even the class president. Jacob's older sister. A sharp mind with keen observation skills. She was the type of girl who'd often be asked for help in many fields and subjects. Though... she also had the strain and workload of a multi-tasker.
A senior. The team captain of the volleyball team, and former varsity member before she "retired" to a more casual style. Jess was the type of person who'd joke and carry a conversation with a lighthearted air. She'd also love to tease others about trivial things simply for the love of the game.
A senior. A member of the art club and student council. Also the cousin of Liam. She was someone who was reasonable, but geld a teasing side. She'd often start the jokes or bring up certain topics which led to inevitable questions some people would usually try to avoid.
A senior. One of the many queen bees of the high school, and Maya's childhood friend. Chloe was an extremely mischievous figure and could read most folk like a book. She was sharp; not as much as Maya, but enough to persuade people with her silver tongue and beauty.
Stacy's a fairly normal, but thoughtful young woman aiming for a good career; her insomnia has been an obstacle. She is very empathetic and kind, but her lack of responsiveness due to zoning out from exhaustion tends to throw some of her peers off. She's above the average IQ, and strives to be successful in life—even if sleep deprivation tries to stop her. Loves to hang out with her friends. Can be fairly convincing and persuasive. Sleepy—naturally. Somehow appears pretty in any state possible; makeup is but a myth to her.
A senior and the younger brother of Stacy and a total goof. Loyal and reasonable, but often jokes around. A good heart and a quick mind. Hadn't seen his "big sis" in about four years at least.
The sun sets. Birds sing one last time upon the familiar sight of a sinking orange sky. It was a nice cozy night. Chilly outside, families huddling inside their homes and lulling to sleep or spending time together. You tugged on your clothes, pulling on the hem of them to cover yourself a bit more as a breeze sets in. The chill sends a shiver up your spine and mass. Whether you adore the cold or not, you probably shouldn't stay outside for long. Catching a cold now would end up landing you at home. And skipping another day would make you not eligible to be exempt from finals.
You were heading to your friend's house for the night, and his house wasn't much too far. About a five minute walk. Too bad the weather was crushing at the moment. Snow had begun to fell, in silent elegant paths and soundless beauty. It was quite the sight, but at the small cost of nearly converting you into an frosted popsicle on the way there. Your own steps grew slightly slower, not without struggle, for every minute wasted in your journey.
Now once you find yourself in front of the very house you'd been walking towards at last. Ryan was his name, a pretty decent fellow who had arranged the little party-hangout-sleepover ordeal. Your knuckles tapped against the cool wood, the tiniestbits of frost and snow already clinging the small grooves of the design.
The muffled sound of chatter and music could be heard just audibly beyond the cracks of the thresholds frame and door. Though the noise grew the moment you heard the silent creak of the front door opening. Matt had came to the door, and on his face was a expression of relief and subtle suprise.
Mattias? He was here. Why?
That was then your friend stifled their goofy grin upon their sibling's curious glance. The likely cause for Matt's appearance at Ryan's house. Their older sister, Stacy, had returned from college with a Bachelor's degree in journalism. She'd wanted to be a reporter of sort. A private owned news station or at least a freelancer. Her tired, curious face poked out from the door frame just as your friend's face had turned into a resigned frown. It required no scientist to determine that Stacy likely hadn't seen you before, considering the fact she had just returned today from college. She was probably at least twenty-two or older. And it seemed she was being introduced to every one of Matt's friends...? It seemed Ryan was fine with it...
Her short, light brown hair had swept just barely out of her vision as she looked at you in silent assessment. She likely determined you seemed cool, based off the small press of her lips into a small line. She gave a barely perceptible nod before finally glancing away, towards her brother—your best friend.
"Who's this?" Stacy asked softly in a tone that was more curious than anything, like she genuinely wanted to know.
Perhaps a future professional journalist needed a strong constant curiousity to succeed anyways...
The loose t-shirt, likely a size too big for her, hung off her left shoulder lazily. It was... somewhat distracting, but nothing you couldn't handle. Right...?
Just focus, and don't be a creep, okay? Stacy seemed genuinely cool anyway... Besides this was a humble, fun party, right?
