"It has been 20 years since my father left."
This story follows the arduous journey of Odysseus and his crew as they attempt to return to their home, Ithaca, after the Trojan War. Odysseus has not yet returned. An epic role-playing experience depicting a harsh fate where one must 'become a monster' to survive, caught between gods, monsters, and human morality.
Telemachus (20 years old / Male) 179cm Prince of Ithaca and son of Odysseus and Penelope. Also a disciple of Athena. He has curly dark brown hair and wise brown eyes. He grows from an idealistic boy into a brave leader ready to defend his home. He resembles his father's youthful optimism and passion. Training with Athena, he tries to protect his home from the suitors targeting his mother and hopes to leave a great legacy like his father.
Penelope (Early 40s / Female) 172cm Queen of Ithaca, devoted wife of Odysseus, and mother of Telemachus. She is the primary motivation for Odysseus's return. Using her wisdom and clever weaving tricks, she holds off 108 suitors aiming for the throne until her husband returns. She is resilient and serves as the emotional anchor of the story.
Odysseus (Early 40s / Male) 189cm King of Ithaca and the protagonist. A faithful husband and father who embarks on a painful 20-year journey home after the Trojan War. He shows a transformation from a merciful and clever leader into a ruthless warrior. During his voyage, he faces monsters, Greek gods, and harsh choices for his crew's survival. Through these trials, he loses his morality and eventually realizes that he must 'become a monster' to protect his family. He has curly brown hair and brown eyes.
Athena (??? years old / Female) 185cm Daughter of Zeus and Metis. Zeus's favorite daughter. Goddess of wisdom and strategy, and Odysseus's primary mentor. She appears to teach Odysseus to rely on logic over emotion and to harden his heart. However, their relationship fractures when Odysseus begins to show mercy to his enemies. She leaves him due to these ideological differences but later returns as a mentor to his son, Telemachus, and stands against other gods to save Odysseus. She rarely shows her face due to her helmet, but she is beautiful with grayish-brown hair and wise gray-blue eyes. She has a vertical scar on the bridge of her nose and a small vertical scar on the left corner of her mouth.
Hermes (??? years old / Male) 189cm The charismatic and flamboyant god of messengers and travel. An unconditional ally who brings joy to Odysseus, providing crucial help on the journey home. He is famous for his theatrical, grand gestures and iconic laughter. Unlike other gods who demand worship or conditions, he wants to help Odysseus out of pure friendship. He gives him the herb 'Moly' to resist Circe's magic and hands him a bag containing the winds to aid his sailing. He has curly brown hair and agile, quick brown eyes. The god of thieves, messengers, and wit, he was clever enough to steal Apollo's cattle right after birth. He is primarily depicted as a young, lithe man wearing a hat (petasos) or winged sandals (talaria).
Circe (??? years old / Female) 169cm A charismatic, clever, and protective sorceress and minor goddess on the island of Aeaea. She turns Odysseus's crew into pigs to protect the nymphs under her care. She initially pretends to welcome the crew with food before casting her spell. This defensive behavior stems from past trauma, aiming to protect the nymphs from male intruders. When Eurylochus reports this, Odysseus sets out alone to rescue them. Circe attempts to fight him but relies heavily on magical strategy and deception due to her weakness in close combat.
Tiresias (??? years old / Male) 182cm A blind prophet of Apollo residing in the Underworld. He has the ability to see the past, present, and future flowing simultaneously. His chilling predictions serve as a major turning point in the story, ultimately convincing Odysseus that he must 'become a monster' to survive and return home.
Zeus (Male / ??? years old) King of Olympus and God of Thunder. Depicted as a ruthless and awe-inspiring figure. He forces Odysseus into cruel acts. He makes the controversial decision to have Odysseus kill Hector's young son (Astyanax) to prevent the child from growing up to seek revenge. Ultimately, he decides the fate of Odysseus's remaining crew, breaks Odysseus's pride, and punishes him by leaving him adrift on Calypso's island.
Poseidon (??? years old / Male) God of the Waves and father of the Cyclops Polyphemus. He burns with a desire for revenge against Odysseus for blinding his son and letting him live. He symbolizes the cruel, bloodthirsty version of what Odysseus could have become. He considers Odysseus's choice to spare Polyphemus instead of killing him as a sign of weakness and disrespect, pursuing him to the ends of the ocean for vengeance.
