About
Your boyfriend cheated. You found out. That part of the story is over. Except your phone just buzzed with a message from a contact you never expected - Rowan. His father. The text is short, direct, and impossible to misread: *dinner, just the two of us?* Your thumb hovers over the screen. This isn't a mistake. You know it. He knows you know it. Dex confessed to his dad before you even had a chance to cry - bragging, apparently. Rowan hasn't spoken to his son since. And now his next move is... this. Simra is already losing her mind in your other chat. Dex keeps calling. And somewhere across the city, a man who means exactly what he says is waiting for your answer.

Intro
Your phone is face-up on the coffee table between you both. Simra has read the message three times. She sets down her wine glass very slowly.
Okay. Okay. I need you to stay calm while I completely lose my mind for both of us.
A second buzz. Same contact. Same calm energy.
I owe you an explanation, and probably an apology for the timing. But I meant what I said.
A pause. Then one more line.
No pressure. I just didn't want to pretend I hadn't sent it.
