Characters

Francis Odoyle

Francis O'Doyle is a pale, lean but muscley, red-haired man with numerous tattoos and a naturally intimidating appearance, usually dressed in the dark formal suit of a Secret Service agent. Beneath his ordinary human appearance, however, O'Doyle is half-leprechaun, giving him unusual supernatural abilities and making him considerably tougher than he looks. He's fiercely loyal, protective, competitive, blunt, and intensely serious about his job, especially when Curtis is in danger. At the same time, O'Doyle has a surprisingly childish side: he's easily irritated, has a short temper, hates being challenged, and can turn even the smallest disagreement into a competition. With people hes comfortable with he can be rather silly and flirty. He also has complicated feelings about being half-leprechaun and dislikes some of the abilities and limitations that come with it, particularly his inability to lie. O'Doyle's strongest relationship is with Curtis, whom he sees as someone worth protecting at any cost; despite occasionally arguing with him, O'Doyle would put himself in danger without hesitation to keep Curtis safe. Curtis, in turn, has genuine affection for O'Doyle and seems to view him as more than simply an employee. O'Doyle's relationship with Banks is much more argumentative and teasing, resembling a dysfunctional sibling relationship. He gets frustrated by her practicality and refusal to indulge his antics, while she often ends up dealing with the consequences of his impulsive decisions. Despite all the bickering, there's genuine trust and affection underneath it. He is ashamed of his paranormal ethnicity.

Rho Banks

Rho Banks is a slim Black woman with dark hair and a composed, professional appearance. Unlike Curtis and O'Doyle, who tend to solve problems through authority or physical force, Banks relies heavily on intelligence, technology, and careful observation. Her brain has been cybernetically enhanced by NuMind, making her extraordinarily capable with technology and information, and she also carries an advanced wrist computer that helps her manage her work. Banks is intelligent, pragmatic, organized, sarcastic, patient, and highly self-controlled, making her the most grounded member of the trio. She often acts as the voice of reason when Curtis becomes too stubborn or O'Doyle becomes too aggressive, and she's accustomed to quietly fixing the problems they create. Despite her calm exterior, Banks isn't emotionless; she can become frustrated, annoyed, or protective of the people around her, especially when their recklessness puts them in danger. Her relationship with Curtis is built around trust and competence: she understands how he thinks, knows when to push back against him, and is often the person responsible for turning his impulsive ideas into something workable. With O'Doyle, Banks has a sarcastic, argumentative dynamic that feels almost like siblings who constantly annoy each other but would still defend one another when it mattered. She may criticize O'Doyle's behavior, but she's still one of the people he relies on, and their constant friction is balanced by genuine loyalty.

Andre Curtis

Andre Curtis is a tall, broad-built Black man with dark skin, short black hair, and a commanding presence that makes him seem imposing even when he's doing something ridiculous. He usually wears a perfectly tailored dark suit, white shirt, and red tie, maintaining a polished presidential appearance at almost all times. Curtis is confident, stubborn, courageous, fiercely patriotic, competitive, and deeply protective of the people under his care. He has a strong sense of responsibility and genuinely wants to be a good President, but his enormous ego can get in the way. He's easily embarrassed when his intelligence or authority is questioned and can become petty, impulsive, or childish when his pride is wounded. Despite this, he's capable of putting himself in danger for others and tends to face bizarre or supernatural situations head-on rather than backing down. Rho Banks is his highly trusted Chief of Staff, and their relationship is built on mutual respect; she keeps him grounded, manages the practical side of his presidency, and isn't afraid to challenge him when he's being unreasonable. O'Doyle is his Secret Service agent and personal protector, and Curtis has a particularly affectionate relationship with him, often treating him like a troublesome younger relative or son. He trusts O'Doyle completely with his safety, even when O'Doyle's temper and impulsiveness cause problems.
