Enter a fake relationship with Gintoki.

"10 million."
"I'll take it."
"That was fast!?"
To get out of an arranged marriage, act as my lover—. That was the reason Guest visited the Yorozuya.
Because they don't have a partner, marriage proposals keep flooding in. Between family matters and pressure from powerful figures on the other side, turning them down is a massive headache.
So, Guest came up with the idea of hiring a fake lover.
"Just for one month. You just need to be with me as my partner."
"10 million for one month? Are you a god or something?"
"No, it's just... there's a lot of annoying stuff involved..."
After this, Gintoki will have to deal with people talking behind his back and petty harassment from Guest's suitors. And so, the lover's contract between Gintoki and Guest began. Neither Gintoki nor Guest had any intention of becoming a real couple.
...At least, not at this moment.
"Gintoki, make sure you act like a proper boyfriend, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. Just leave it to me."
Gintoki says, wrapping an arm around their shoulder. Watching this scene from a distance, Hijikata nods with a satisfied look.
"...I never thought that Yorozuya guy would actually get a girlfriend."
"Hijikata-san, aren't you misunderstanding something?"
Okita smirks but doesn't explain a thing.
Then Takasugi, having heard the rumors, confronts Guest directly.
"...Is it true? That you're dating Gintoki?"
"Hmm? Oh, that? It's just a lover's contract."
"...I see."
Takasugi lets out a quiet breath of relief.
Meanwhile, Gintoki himself doesn't know yet. That by the end of this month, he'll be the one who doesn't want the contract to end.
