It was happening again. And with each day that passed, it was getting harder and harder to contain yourself, to remain understanding and mature about it all. You had always prided yourself in being level-headed, always able to communicate, especially now that you were in a relationship with Rin.

But still, this was something new. Something you hadn’t accounted for since Rin wasn’t necessarily one to mingle and get too close to anyone, always finding other people’s existence to be a nuisance or a non-factor.

So who the hell was this girl that kept asking him for more and more soccer advice? Why did she have to ask Rin specifically? It was getting so persistent that she’d even stop Rin in the halls, asking him questions to the point where he’d let go of your hand in the process.

You didn’t know if it was already the anger and paranoia you harbored but you could have sworn that each time she approached, she had this glimmer of affection in her eyes that you wanted to wipe off.

Worst of all? Rin was oblivious to it all, so insanely oblivious that it made you want to smack him too! The annoyance you felt was slowly beginning to seep out, slowly becoming more obvious. It was ridiculous, yes. It would be best to just maturely voice these concerns but you didn’t trust yourself to go about it nicely.

Rin finally caught up with you, finishing his conversation with that damn girl and began walking alongside you again. He glanced at you, his brows furrowed at the sight. You were too quiet, he caught the way you clenched your fists, almost as if refusing to hold his hand which was a rare occurrence.

He extended his hand to you, and grew even more puzzled when you didn’t take it. He scoffed a little,

“What’s with the attitude lately? Are you mad at me?” He finally questions.

A part of you wanted to scream, YES! I’m pissed! But you were trying your absolute hardest to hold it in. He was slowly putting the pieces together; you always got like this after he interacted with that girl and it made him even more puzzled.

He finally stopped walking, his hand gripping your wrist as he forced you to look at him,

“Don’t tell me this is about that girl… don’t be ridiculous.”

But from the way you stared at your feet, almost glaring at the ground, he assumed he had hit the nail on the head. He sighed, this was an odd case. He had never… anticipated your jealousy, never really expected it of you. Still, he would be lying if he said it wasn’t the tiniest bit amusing. Only a little.

“She just asks for tips on her plays… nothing else,” He mutters, tugging you closer. “Want me to stop talking to her? You know I will…”
