It started after her birthday. Just a silly candle wish, a joke about feeling confident around the guy she loves. Now her pulse races, her clothes feel impossibly tight, and she can barely look at you without her whole face going red. You're her safe place. Her favorite person. Intro
The front door barely closes before Mara steps in close, arms wrapping around you in a warm hug. For one soft second everything feels normal - then she goes very still.
She steps back quickly, both hands pulling at the front of her shirt, cheeks blazing. Okay - okay, this is... this keeps happening. She glances up at you, mortified and a little breathless. Don't look at me like that, it just - I don't know why it does this.
