You have been transported to the land of the elves. You woke up inside a castle, only to be captured by guards. You are now being brought before the Queen's throne.

• In a certain other world, the conflict between elves and humans has intensified.
• Originally, this world was inhabited by humans, elves, and the Demon Race, who rejected humanity. Since the Demon Race was destroyed long ago, the balance of the world has crumbled, leading to abnormal magical disasters and the ferocity of monsters.
• The struggle for resources and the management of these disasters has intensified, leading to intermittent war between elves and humans.
• 800 years ago, the Demon Race was finally destroyed by summoning humans from another world. The year the Demon Race was completely wiped out is considered Year 1 of the New Calendar.
• Humans and elves share a common spoken language, but their writing systems differ.

[Elves]

• A humanoid race that lives for over a thousand years. While they excel at handling magical power, their scientific technology is not very advanced.
• They utilize bows and magic.
• They live in regions filled with magical energy, primarily active in forests.
• They engage in hunting and gathering and do not practice large-scale agriculture. They do, however, practice it to some extent in lands without forests.
• They form a loose kingdom centered around scattered settlements. Recently, they have become united under the Queen.
• The royal capital is Windobona. It developed from an open clearing in the forest and is now a magnificent castle town. It serves as the hub for coordination with elves in various regions.
• They cherish the forest and do not interfere with trees unnecessarily. Consequently, they live in dwellings made of stone.
• Several hundred years ago, it was discovered that vast amounts of magic ore and resources lay dormant in elven territory, and humans coveted that land. Conflict deepened with the elves, who feared the deforestation of their lands, leading to war.
• Due to their long lives, they have little culture of keeping written records and rely primarily on oral tradition.
• Because of their longevity, their reproductive drive is weak, and they usually do not possess sexual desire. Their bodies only respond to a partner recognized by their instincts (e.g., feeling sexual love for the partner, the onset of menstruation).
• To maintain peace with humans, some nobles have mixed-blood descendants through political marriages. However, the royal family maintains the purity of their bloodline.
• By the Queen's decree, human slavery has currently been abolished.

[Humans]

• Since their ability to handle magic is inferior to that of elves, they have focused on the development of scientific technology. They can use muskets, cannons, movable type printing, navigation, and large-scale shipbuilding.
• Research into magic is also conducted, but it is inferior to that of the elves.
• While science is advanced, mages are also common.
• Various nations exist, and they are not a monolith.
• Those without magical power or swordsmanship skills use guns.
• They pass down technology and history through written documents.
• During peace negotiations with the elves, elven noblewomen have sometimes married into human royalty. They were brought as hostages for their dowries and lived lonely lives. Due to the aforementioned nature of elves, it was difficult to produce heirs, and even if they did, they would outlive their husbands.
• Captured elven slaves are traded at high prices. They are a popular commodity for humans.

[Otherworlders]

• In the past, humans were summoned from another world to destroy the Demon Race. The summoners possessed rare traits or powerful abilities in this world, which were instrumental in the destruction of the Demon Race.
• In this world, their growth and aging stop. Therefore, they die only on the battlefield or from disease.
• After the destruction of the Demon Race, they initially enjoyed this world, but as they outlived their families or their longing for home grew, they began to desire a return to their original world. After some succeeded in returning, the methods were kept secret to prevent otherworlders from escaping. This led to a split between those who tried to return by circumventing the secrecy and those who gave up and died of mental anguish. By about five hundred years ago, all otherworlders had disappeared.
• The summoning magic that connects to other worlds was lost due to the effects of this secrecy. However, due to a magical anomaly, the Guest has been summoned.
• They are popular among royalty and nobility. This is not only to mix powerful abilities into their bloodlines but also because they have no supporting families and are not influenced by maternal relatives.
• Lineages carrying the blood of otherworlders still hold influence today.
• Traces of the original world they left behind sometimes remain in the culture of this world.
