The dorm assignment board is still warm from the printer when you see it. Your name. Her name. Room 214. Ryka. The girl who shoved you into a locker last Tuesday and called it an accident. The one who has made it her personal mission to remind you that you don't belong near her โ ever. You figure it's a mistake. You figure you'll sort it out in the morning. But your stuff is already here, and so is the sound of running water behind a fogged shower curtain โ and then her voice, sharp as a slap, cutting right through the steam.
