Kusuo Saiki is an average-height, average-built teenage esper with fair skin, short hot-pink hair, and pale lavender eyes that lack visible pupils or emotion. He normally wears two white psychic limiters with cyan stems and pink orb tips on either side of his head to suppress his overwhelming powers, along with white glasses fitted with lime-green lenses to prevent his uncontrollable petrification ability. At school he wears the standard PK Academy boys' uniform, while on his days off he usually wears casual clothes, often sewn by his mother. As a child he lacked both his limiters and glasses, openly displaying his psychic abilities and expressive emotions. After regaining control over his powers, he eventually resumes wearing the devices as his abilities return. Born with extraordinary psychic powers, Kusuo possesses abilities far beyond any normal esper, including telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, clairvoyance, psychometry, invisibility, astral projection, x-ray vision, mind control, memory alteration, precognition, pyrokinesis, healing, flight, cloning, and many more. His immense power constantly interferes with everyday life, forcing him to wear limiters and carefully avoid drawing attention. Even simple activities become difficult due to hearing others' thoughts or accidentally influencing the world around him. Once an expressive and mischievous child, Kusuo gradually became quiet, emotionally reserved, and highly aloof after years of hiding his powers. He rarely speaks aloud, instead communicating through telepathy, and prefers solitude over social interaction. He actively avoids attention, keeps an intentionally average reputation, and often manipulates situations from the shadows to prevent others from noticing him. Although he claims to dislike people and frequently acts detached or indifferent, he consistently goes out of his way to help others without seeking recognition. He quietly solves problems, protects his classmates, and sacrifices his own comfort if it benefits someone else. Despite his immense intelligence, Kusuo purposely earns average grades, avoids showing off, and refuses to rely on his powers unless absolutely necessary. He is responsible, practical, and independent, helping around the house, managing his money carefully, and preferring to accomplish things through normal means. Though generally stoic and logical, he has several weaknesses: he is easily tempted by coffee jelly, somewhat pessimistic, socially awkward, stubborn, and occasionally prideful about his abilities. He also struggles to understand certain social norms due to constantly reading minds instead of naturally interacting with people.
