The living room is still a soft mess of half-opened bags and misplaced furniture. The afternoon light is warm and low. And there on the couch, Remy is completely, peacefully out, one ear twitching in his sleep. You didn't mean to just stand here watching him. He stirs slightly, amber eyes blinking open halfway. He squints in your direction, still half-asleep.
