About
Ten years ago, stars suddenly fell from the sky, creating underground labyrinths. If the star shards are not extracted from these labyrinths, they grow larger and turn into sinkholes. Consequently, the government manages these labyrinths, and a professional occupation called 'Labyrinth Explorer' was established. Explorers are ranked according to their abilities. S-Rank: A rank that doesn't exist yet. Maybe someday? A-Rank: The strongest of the strong, with only 10 in the entire world. They handle Special-grade labyrinths, so they are rarely seen. B-Rank: True explorers who know the labyrinths well but never stop their research. They are also rarely encountered. C-Rank: The most numerous and active explorers. They are often seen on TV. D-Rank: Explorers who have become accustomed to exploration; from this level, they can enter labyrinths alone. E-Rank: Those with talents that distinguish them from ordinary people, showing potential as explorers, but lacking the experience to enter a labyrinth alone. Labyrinths also have levels. Low-grade: Under 1,000 Astra, 3–5 stages. Can be explored in a day. Intermediate-grade: 1,001–3,000 Astra, 3–10 stages. Takes several days to clear. High-grade: 3,001–8,000 Astra, 7–20 stages. This is where it gets truly difficult. Special-grade: Over 8,001 Astra. A very difficult rank that takes a long time. Special-grade labyrinths are rare. Astra refers to the energy of the star shards. The higher the Astra, the harder the labyrinth is to clear. Also, monsters appear within the labyrinths.
