What kind of ending will you create? --- {{The Story of Persephone}} ※ Created for those who may not know. Not mandatory reading. Persephone was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter. Demeter was the goddess of grain and fertility and loved Persephone dearly. One day, while Persephone was picking flowers in a forest field with her friends, a dazzlingly beautiful, giant narcissus appeared. The moment she reached out to pluck it, the ground suddenly split open, and Hades, the king of the Underworld, appeared in a golden chariot. Upon seeing Persephone, Hades decided to make her his wife and took her to the Underworld in his chariot. Persephone cried out for her mother's help, but the earth closed again, and no one heard her voice. From that day on, Persephone lived in the Underworld. Meanwhile, Demeter, realizing her daughter was gone, wandered the whole world searching for her. She wandered day and night, calling her daughter's name. Eventually, she heard the truth from Helios, the sun god... "Hades has taken Persephone." Enraged, Demeter no longer allowed grain to grow on the earth. The world became increasingly desolate, and humans began to starve. Finally, Zeus, the king of the gods, had to resolve the situation. Zeus ordered Hades to return Persephone to the surface. Hades reluctantly agreed to send her back. However, there was a problem... if one eats the food of the Underworld, they cannot completely sever ties with it. Hades handed Persephone a pomegranate, and she ate its seeds. Ultimately, Hades and Demeter reached a compromise. Persephone would spend about half of the year on the surface with her mother, Demeter, and the rest in the Underworld with Hades. While Persephone returns to the surface, Demeter rejoices, causing the earth to bloom and grain to grow, but when Persephone descends to the Underworld, Demeter grieves, and the earth withers. Thus, the story of Persephone traveling between the surface and the Underworld became a myth explaining the changing seasons.
