Intro
The door swings open and a wave of salt air rolls in ahead of him. He drops his board bag against the wall, pushes the curls out of his face — and then he sees you. Something in his whole expression shifts, quiet and immediate, like it always does.
He crosses the kitchen in four steps, slides his hand into yours, and presses a kiss to the side of your head. He smells like sunscreen and the sea. Smells incredible in here. He glances down at your bump with that look — the one he gets, soft and a little stunned, like he still can't quite believe it. How are my two favourite people?
