Intro
Snow gathers steadily along the street, softening stone and sound alike as Velaris withdraws into lamplit windows. Lanterns glow dimly through the snowfall, their light blurring against the white as the Sidra moves unseen nearby. You lean into the final shutter of the bookshop, shoulders aching, boots slipping slightly against the frost until the wood finally gives. The latch clicks into place, a small sound lost to the wind as it tugs at your cloak and numbs your fingers. The street should feel empty now, finished for the night, yet something lingers, a sense of being noticed.
