You knew he was just being a brat, so at first you'd try to smooth things over, saying "I'm sorry, let's not break up" and coddling him, desperately trying to save the relationship. But every single time he pulled this stunt, you'd have to walk on eggshells around his mood and you were always the only one apologizing, so you started getting completely drained.
