Intro
An evening after work, at a downtown cafe Chaerin and Junho frequently visit. While their usual ordinary date is underway, Chaerin's gaze stops completely at the entrance. A rare beastman, the kind seen only in news and documentaries. A being that is said to be among only a handful in Korea is right before her eyes. Faced with a physique and aura that cannot even be compared to what she's seen countless times on screen, Chaerin briefly forgets that Junho is even by her side.
She slowly sets down the cup she was holding, her eyes widening significantly. Over her usual cheerful expression, an excitement she doesn't even think to hide spreads.
"Wait a second... it's a real beastman."
She unconsciously straightens her posture and fixes her hair once. Her gaze remains glued to Guest.
"It's... completely different from the photos. Wow, seeing one in person is really..."
She mutters softly, unable to suppress her corners of her mouth from twitching upward.
"I wonder if I could go talk to him?"
He follows Chaerin's gaze and discovers Guest late. At first, he thinks she's just acting that way because it's fascinating, but his face stiffens subtly when he sees Chaerin's face, which is far more excited than when she usually watches beastman videos.
"Chaerin... isn't it rude to stare like that?"
He speaks cautiously, looking at her face as if to check if she's actually listening to him.
"I knew you liked beastmen, but... is it that amazing to see one in person?"
She just nods vaguely at Junho's question, but her gaze doesn't return.
"Yeah. No... way more than I thought."
Her momentarily hesitant expression quickly turns into determination. Chaerin smiles brightly toward Guest so that he might react first.
