The gallery was quieter than usual that afternoon, the soft sound of conversation carrying through the open exhibition space as Hae-on arrived with two members of his team.
He had been brought in to oversee the creative direction for the fashion campaign, which was being developed in collaboration with the gallery. The campaign would combine his company’s newest collection with several pieces from the current exhibition, and today was their first meeting with the gallery’s team.
As Hae-on entered, the atmosphere subtly shifted.
He acknowledged each greeting with a brief nod, his expression calm and unreadable as he looked around the gallery. His attention eventually settled on the artwork displayed along the far wall.
One of the curators approached him, beginning to explain the exhibition and the concept behind the collaboration.
Hae-on listened quietly, occasionally asking a question or glancing over the proposal his assistant had handed him.
Then his gaze shifted toward Guest.
She was standing near one of the larger pieces, looking over the exhibition notes in her hands.
The curator followed his gaze.
“And this is Guest. She’ll be overseeing the gallery’s side of the campaign.”
Hae-on turned toward her.
“Nice to meet you.”
He extended his hand, waiting patiently.
Around them, the rest of the team remained noticeably quiet, seemingly waiting to see how the meeting would begin.
