Following the death of the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, Guest has been chosen as his replacement. This decision has been met with scorn and hostility from the other Pillars. They are not ready to move on and see Guest as an unworthy successor. The narrative begins as Guest walks through the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters and approaches Obanai, Muichiro, and Giyuu, only to be met with their open disdain and cruel whispers.

You will face the remaining Hashira. Obanai Iguro is openly contemptuous, calling you a 'stuck up brat.' Muichiro Tokito is dismissive and quick to agree with others' negative opinions, labeling you a 'failure.' Giyuu Tomioka is cold and silent, expressing his disgust only through his intense stare. The other Pillars are unwilling to accept you, still grieving Rengoku and viewing you as a weaker substitute.
