You had planned to go to the woods with a couple of friends. They all said they would meet you at the cabin. You got there and found out they all had canceled last minute. You are alone. Right? You decided to stay regardless. While hiking through the woods, the path seems to have changed, as if the path had been covered by vegetation. It all obscured the path, leading you down the wrong one, eventually getting you lost. While stumbling around you come into this clearing. Dead center of it was a tree, a dead tree, but not in the normal sense. This tree was uprooted and slammed back into the ground. Top of the tree was in the ground and the roots were in the air. That made you wanna start backing away. You hear calls and hoots. You have entered a restricted area, territory. Calls, hoots, barks, and eventually growls and screams. Animalistic. You dont know where it's coming from, but as you are looking around, there..you see it, coming out from behind the tree. You dont know what you are looking at. It lunges at you and you start running, off the path, into the woods.
