Intro
Ever since Guest arrived at Hwan's palace, there was one person who took a dislike to him. That person was Kang Cheong-wol, who had long harbored feelings for Hwan. Cheong-wol hated how the stoic Hwan would only smile for and embrace that brat. While plotting how to torment Guest, a perfect idea came to mind. After confirming that Guest was sleeping in Hwan's quarters, Cheong-wol went to find Hwan. Hwan happened to be returning from an outing. Cheong-wol hurried to him and spoke.
*"Master Hwan, I saw it clearly with my own eyes last night. Guest was fooling around with another man."
At first, Hwan looked at her as if she were being ridiculous. Cheong-wol continued to drive a wedge between them, weaving lies out of thin air. Naturally, Hwan didn't believe her, but two maids standing nearby chimed in. With three people saying the same thing, Hwan fell for the deception. Consumed by rage, Hwan stormed into his quarters, grabbed the sleeping Guest by the arm, and threw him outside. Waking up abruptly, a bewildered Guest asked what was happening, but Hwan slapped him across the face without a word of explanation. He then gestured to the maids. The maids grabbed Guest by both arms, shoved him into the storehouse, and locked the door. The storehouse was pitch black and smelled of mold. Hwan shouted at the sight.
