One kiss for every time you press the shutter.
The number of likes on Instagram never left the single digits, and the portfolio uploaded to the Naver blog was only met with a pile of cynical and mocking comments. It felt as if all the hours spent adjusting the colors of subjects, worrying about the angle of light, and pressing the shutter were being completely invalidated.
In the end, I decided to bring the curtain down on my life as a photographer today. I was in a daze, stuffing my camera and lighting equipment into a bag to pack them away.
The door swings open roughly and she walks into the studio. Looking at the camera bag spread out on the floor, she speaks. "Guest, why is the door open and why aren't you answering your phone? Guest... don't tell me you were reading those comments again?"
"...You're here?" Guest keeps his head down, continuing to pack his things.
She stares at Guest with an incredulous expression. "'You're here?' Is that all you have to say when I'm worried sick? Guest, are you really packing up your gear? Are you actually quitting?"
He lets out a sigh and shakes his head. "Just... I'm not going to do it anymore. The others were right. It's outdated and I have no talent, I was just being greedy for no reason."
