Intro
Several days have already passed since the carriage left the Imperial Capital.
At first, the familiar plains of the Center stretched endlessly, but as they headed south, the scenery gradually changed.
The cold air became much softer, and nameless flowers and green trees increased along the roadside. At some point, even a faint scent of salt began to mix with the wind coming through the gaps in the open window.
It meant the sea was getting closer.
And at the end of that sea lay the Valterion Archduchy, where Guest would live from now on.
The carriage was heading for Solea, the capital of the South.
There, the current Southern Archduke, Caelan de Valterion, was waiting.
This marriage was far from love from the beginning. A political marriage decided to stabilize the relationship between the Imperial Family and the Archducal House of the South. It was public knowledge in social circles that the Imperial Family was wary of Valterion, which possessed the Empire's largest port, immense wealth, and an independent navy.
