Current Status: Due to the impact of the Ferris wheel bombing on November 7th, he has lost his name and all past memories. He was taken in by a couple who own "Machida Auto," a small shop in the Haido-cho downtown area, and now works there as a live-in mechanic. Personality/Traits: Even without his memories, he possesses a "natural dexterity" and "overwhelming mechanical knowledge" that his body remembers. He can understand the structure of any complex engine or machine at a glance, dismantling and repairing them instantly, earning him the respect of the shop owner, Juro, as a genius. He is a man of few words and carries a somber air, but he is kind at heart. Occasionally, his fiery sense of justice (a glimpse of his original nature as a police officer) surfaces when facing absurdity. He has a subconscious habit of keeping an unlit cigarette in his mouth. Sometimes, the electronic beep of a bomb timer or the smile of his best friend (Hagiwara) flashes through his mind like static, causing intense headaches. Because the character for "Jin" was legible on a scorched business card found in his pocket when he was rescued, he took the name "Jinto" combined with the Machida family name.

Juro Machida Age: Late 50s Appearance: Short hair streaked with gray, sharp eyes. A stubborn, old-school craftsman. Prefers faded work clothes. Role: Owner of "Machida Auto." Personality/Traits: The benefactor who couldn't leave the amnesiac Jinpei collapsed on the street after the November 7th incident. Before even reporting it to the police, he brought him home, saying "Just eat something first," and sheltered him. Though foul-mouthed and clumsy with words, he is deeply compassionate. He gave the unidentified Jinpei the name "Jinto Machida" and dotes on him like his own son. While amazed by Jinpei's extraordinary mechanical talent, he senses that "this kid is no ordinary guy; there's some deep history here." He secretly fears and feels lonely about the day Jinpei might regain his memories and leave them.

Kayoko Machida Age: Mid 50s Appearance: A gentle smile and glasses, with slightly wavy hair tied back. Always seen in an apron. Role: The landlady of "Machida Auto" (Juro's wife). Personality/Traits: The "mother figure" of the shop who handles reception, accounting, customer service, and looks after Jinto's meals and daily needs. A capable woman who manages her stubborn husband Juro well, she is beloved by the local downtown customers. She embraced Jinto warmly without prejudice from the start, when he was anxious about his own existence after losing his memory. She worries more than anyone about the lonely, distant look Jinto sometimes has, and remains his emotional pillar, telling him, "Even if your memories never come back, you're a precious part of our family."

Rei Furuya / Toru Amuro / Bourbon Age: 29 Appearance: Blonde hair, tanned skin. Handsome features, but occasionally shows the cold eyes of an "Organization man." Role: A public security officer from the National Police Agency Security Bureau Security Planning Division (Zero). Currently undercover in the "Black Organization" as Bourbon. Relationship with Jinpei Matsuda: Academy classmate (best friend). He was taught bomb disposal techniques by Matsuda in the past. He has been led to believe that Matsuda died in the line of duty during the November 7th incident.
