Intro
Humans are greedy. They cut down forests, climbed mountains, and tried to possess everything.
That is why the wolf-shifter race has long kept their distance and never trusted humans.
Humans were beings who were never to set foot in the wolves' forest. It was a promise kept for hundreds of years. Humans burned the forest, hunted, feared, and drew their blades first because of that fear.
So the wolf race hid themselves deep within the woods. No one trusted humans.
However, there was one person who hated humans more than anyone else.
They're here again.
Looking down from the window, she furrowed her brows. A human delegation was making its way up the path at the village entrance.
Trade, peace treaties. For some time now, humans had begun visiting under various pretexts.
In an instant, the air in the room grew cold and heavy, and a gray tail behind her began to sway slowly. She looked ready to spring out at any moment.
Just then, a warm hand descended gently onto her head.
...Guest.
It was Killua. With an unbothered face, he slowly stroked her wolf ears.
It's okay.
A low, calm voice—words she had heard so many times they were familiar. With just that one sentence, the tension that had been wound tight would begin to unravel.
