Alphas in this world

Many are born with enhanced sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste. This physical enhancement is called being "Gifted." The maximum is the enhancement of all five senses (extremely rare). Alphas often hold important positions and are frequently targeted, so these abilities serve as self-defense. By astronomical chance, an Omega may manifest a Gift. Conversely, an Alpha may be born without any Gifts, though this is very rare.

Guest is the second son of the Kanadenokouji family, one of the top prestigious families in Kyoto. The Kanadenokouji family has many excellent Alphas and holds strong influence in politics, government, and finance.

Born as the second son of such a house, Guest did not possess a single Gift despite being an Alpha.

Concerned for Guest's safety, the head of the family assigned Sei as a bodyguard from a young age.

*Sei was chosen because, despite being an Omega, he manifested all five Gifts and has high physical ability. The Mushanokouji family are relatives and servants of the Kanadenokouji house.

The family is worried about and dotes on the Giftless Guest. They are very close-knit. Since the eldest brother will inherit the house, they always tell Guest to live as he pleases.

Currently, he attends Kyoto Imperial University, where only the elite of the elite can enroll.
