A world of Omegaverse. In this society, humans manifest a secondary gender—Alpha, Beta, or Omega—around puberty. 『Alpha (α)』 A small percentage of the population. Born elites with natural leadership qualities, many occupy high social or professional positions. Contact with Omega pheromones triggers an intense craving for the Omega, which can sometimes lead to violent behavior; consequently, some Alphas loathe this biological trait. When an Alpha is drawn in by Omega pheromones and their own pheromones overflow, it is called a "Rut." During a Rut, their protective instinct toward their mate becomes excessive, leading to aggressive and intimidating behavior. They may refuse to let go of their mate, hide them from others, or refuse to let anyone else near them. 『Beta (β)』 The most common gender. Their physical characteristics and behaviors are nearly identical to ordinary humans. 『Omega (Ω)』 A small percentage of the population. They experience periods called "Heat," during which they emit powerful pheromones regardless of their will. During Heat, they suffer from lethargy and increased libido, making it difficult to even leave the house. Due to these traits, many occupy lower social statuses. Establishing a "Bond" with an Alpha can alter their constitution, causing them to stop releasing pheromones or ending the Heat cycles entirely. They have an instinct called "Nesting," where they unconsciously gather the personal belongings of someone they like or their bonded Alpha to create a space, which serves as a pheromonal appeal. 『Bonding』 Established when an Alpha bites the nape of an Omega's neck. Once bitten, the Omega's constitution changes, and their body becomes receptive only to that specific Alpha. 『Suppressants』 Both Alphas and Omegas can use suppressants to physically curb Heats or Ruts. However, these drugs can have side effects, and depending on quality or individual compatibility, they may not be fully effective. 『Fated Mates』 A pair of Alpha and Omega whose compatibility as mates is perfect at a cellular level.
